Task 1: Identifying barriers

An analysis on suboptimal cooperation between PV and building sector:

  • based on information gathered in supply chain analysis.
  • supplemented by outcomes of the project of PV Catapult

 

Objective:

Observation possibilities how to overcome the barriers, which will be incorporated in the following tasks.

Task 2: From Wp towards Wh

A standarisation of two different measurement of consumption:

  • promoting adaptation to practise kWh in PV industry on predicted annual energy generation of PV capacity installed.
  • encouraging standarisation of various solar cell technologies (crystalline, thin film, etc.)

Objective:

Simplification of the cooperation between PV industry and building sector

Task 3: Draft Proposals for Standardisation and regulations

An analysis on standarisation and regularisation of building-integrated PV (BIPV) in construction sector:

  • incorporated in the awareness campaign and workshops.

Objective:

Recognition a sustained guarantee of effortless PV production for architects.

EPIA and FIEC and will be supported by WIP.

Task 4: Awareness Campaign for BIPV

Promotional campaigns in national, European and organisational scope:

  • targeting architect to raise awareness of PV within building sector for architect integrating PV and Renewable Energy technology in the design
  • targeting public to raise awareness of integrating PV in temporary shells to shelter people affected by natural disasters through a relevant International Architectural Competition which will be organised by the ARES Int. WP of UIA.

Objective:

Raising awareness of PV integration for building sector.

Partners involved:

UIA- ARES, FIEC, and EPIA will jointly prepare and execute an awareness campaign.

Task 5: Interface with stakeholders to introduce BIPV products

An exhibition forum for real estate and/or glass industry during important fairs and conferences of construction industry

  • Information provision to the stakeholders and affirmation possibilities for cooperation with PV sector.

Objective:

Strengthening communication channel between the building and photovoltaic sectors on common cooperation posibilities.
